Chennai city has been hit with a spate of brazen bank robberies. The culprits were robbing banks when there was a power cut so that they cannot be caught.
The police surveyed nearly 1000 hours of CCTV tapes and one customer of the bank identified the leader.
Yesterday the police raided their hiding places and killed the 5 thieves.

Good Job. This is one reason the D company and other gangs don't develop the guts to venture south. I think they wanted to send a message to the would be bank robbers, and the Mumbai Mafia.

You have so good sense of humor comparing Mumbai police to Chennai police. and D gang to Chindhi chors? What is next comparison? Chennai PD to NYPD, LAPD, Scotland Yard, Interpol?
I was impressed by Hyderabad Police esp Traffic Police when I saw a Traffic Police Constable literally going to the road and getting auto rickshaws for waiting passengers ... It is common knowledge that auto rikshaws do not wish to go by meter esp from railway stations , bus stops etc .

As expected, all the human rights activists have caught the first available plane, bus or train to Chennai and shouting from the rooftop that the encounter killing of the 5 criminals was drama, that the criminals could have been apprehended and put on trial. They are not bothered if the unarmed bank employee or the police get killed. The encounter will be strong deterrent for those planning such crimes.
Like those who had looted a few 10 lacs of rupees, if some justice is done to those who loot several 1000s of crores, we can really celebrate.
