I don't feel it is necessary to extol India or Canada; if things get too tough to stay, I move; the new land becomes the default reference for all purposes. But this tax issue brought up by web2000 is very real. A few months ago, I had to forgo an offer for a very nice position (nice money) at KAUST in Saudi Arabia after consulting a couple of tax accountants here; by the time the free amenities are valued in real dollars, it turned out I would have had to cough out between 60-70k a year to Canadian Govt since Saudi pay is tax free. No need to say, I just cussed out Canada for its tax policies and simply rejected the Saudi offer. When a man is sacrificing so much by living in Saudi, Canada needs to let them off the hook as far as tax obligations are concerned. It is possible to reduce tax burden if all residential ties can be severed (this includes banking and bank accounts, which was main restraint for me) but I can't possibly move all my finance dealings out of Canada.... So I decided sit around and enjoy some freezing breeze.
TK may be in some moods but his posts are informative and I won't hold the guy for his bittersweet feelings toward Canada; who knows, any of us could possibly become him if professional success did not happen (I know I would have likely become far worse than him in those sentiments if I failed to secure professional placement as fast as I did (it took about a week after my arrival here). The reason I say I would have likely become far worse is because I have already traversed the planet and the only place to go for me is North Pole, which i am sure is far less presentable than this town here is.... So give TK a break. Let him live where he likes...

Time to reactivate one of most controversial articles by TK. Enjoy! I wish some of the original comments were there.
So, TK whenever you have fun reading other's miseries, just refer back to your following post. Read from start to end...it is full of humor, entertainment.

It remind the Austin Powers (Part II) movies where the Dr. Evil says "Leave us alone" with not you(s)....
TK list of exclusion seem to keep growing from IT then to Finance.. then to etc., etc.., In another 5 years, we could expect TK to write 20 occupation lists excluded from his ranting...

"As far as I know Canada imposes taxes on you worldwide income and there is no such thing in India. "

Expat Canadian can declare non-residency and then Canada does NOT tax any income at all outside of Canada.
So where is the taxation if you exercise the 'non-residency' option

spaceman - I am fully agree with you. A good reply to TK's post - I like it.
TK – I can feel the hatred, intolerance and sick attitude in your posting since you moved back to India. Are you getting influenced by the society?

No TK tries to do the opposite. you can search this forum for his countless posts including the links to his posts in this very thread. Constant negativism, anti establishment, grudge against IT, Finance etc . Complain lack of cheap groceries, and what not.
Even after leaving canada, he is fixated on Canada and on this forum. He was on this forum all day long and then he was fired in Canada.
atleast he should value the good job he got in india with good perks.
so many of the forum members exposed the fallacy of his argument and also gave advise but to no avail.
i will not add anymore to this thread as this is another thread hijacked by TK

Good one!
You use my name in the first post and then you say that I have hijacked the thread when I came to my defence.
