Do not know whether all these people who sing hindi songs, would own the God, if they realise that after all the God being from the state of Maharashtra and speaking Marathi is "from South" as much as Sadagoppan Ramesh or Woorkeri Raman or Badrinath. For Maharashtrians are basically South Indians. The descendants of Vir Shivaji ruled from Tanjore as the later Cholas. Art and culture flourished during the time of Raja Sarfoji.
However, the God himself had declared himself as "Indian" first, much to liking of his comrades in the party of pseudo-secularists which has made him MP and to the chagrin of Shiv Sena Supremo Bal Thakarey. Actually, a Tamilian first or Maharshtrian first or Keralite first is more Indian than these pseudos calling themselves "Indians first".
Thus as Tamilian first, would like to disown the God as South Indian for reasons of what he could have done but did not do (as far as I am concerned intentionally) than a Harbhajan or an Ishant Sharma who won a test match for India, with their very limited batting talent.

Now we have World Champion Anand winning and equalising in the 8th game. The moves leading to this victory were breathtaking, fantastic and spark of a genius. He is involved in a nail biting competition with Boris Gelfand representing Israel to retain his crown. These people who are singing hindi songs do not want to give Anand any credit though he had been in much difficult situations and brought laurels and glory to his country. Just because he is "from south".

Ah now you are talking about Anand....I have already praised him few weeks back and no doubt he is the great sportsperson of India...But that time you were in too deep love with S Ramesh. Please refer to page 5 of this discussion and previous other similar discussion. Now you will put Anand forward for any disucssions. Also is Anand a team player either?...the sport/game he plays does not involve team so that is mute point. On Individual basis I guess both Sachin and Anand has similar number of awards.
you know people with less capabilities will always come up with all kinds of excuses, I am Dalit, I am muslim, I am Sikh , I am from South, I am black.. and that is why I am not getting recognition..come get out of it and perform...otherwise you are on a path of extremism..

Yes, Anand can easily be placed in same league as Sachin, Anand deserves more praise than SAchin at times and will get if he comes back from spain But this thread is for Sachin and his greatness on the field and off the field. So lets stick to our sachinimotions !
