Hi, I just got married and got my Master's degree from UK this year(got my result on March 2010). I want to get settled in Canada with her. She is going to apply for PR(Permanent resident)very soon. I want to ask how to join her in Canada. My wife is not yet working any professional job but just some unprofessional job as a full time employee for Walmart.Her PGWP is expiring on december and she is going to apply for PR b4 that as she will be eligible. I am newly married and Just trying to find a solution to my confuse state of mind as I want to join her. Please suggest what are the ways to join her. I guess it is not easy to get a tourist visa or open work permit easily for an Indian.
I have figure out some of the possible reason for my visa rejection if i apply for tourist visa.

1. I did not maintained money in my bank account but i can mantain money if i am ask to do so about 3 lakhs.but again how long do i need to to the shortest.

2.I did not get a job yet as I just got my mark/transcript in this month.I may be able to get a good job here in India just to make them somewhat belief that I may return. but again the problem is I am just going to start my job and if i apply after two or three month after joining, will they be suspicious. Do i need to show how much am i earning and nearly how much should be my monthy salary.(If these condition satisfies)

3. She also did not maintained money in her bank account. If ask to maintain she can. but if ask how much and for how long to the minimum.

What if I apply for spousal open work permit? What are the chances of getting provided the circumstances above.

Lastly I dont have that much qualification and experience to get a work permit or apply for PR directly as I am not eligible.

Or can she apply for outland pr application along with mine when she is going to apply for her pr. How long it may take.
I just dont want to wait for her in years to join her i will be very depress.It will be fine if the wait is only a year but cannot afford more than that.

*I guess we choose the wrong country for making things to the worst.*

1. If your wife qualifies for PR, both of you can apply and it may take 16 months to 22 months depending upon what category you apply.

2. If your wife is working .... by showing fat bank balance for her, employment letter from the company, pay stubs ...... you should be able to get work permit. ( of course .... I am not sure about the job).

Seems you need to do lot of research.
If I know more details about you and your wife ( academic and work with dates), I may be able to give you some ideas.
