Personally, I had mixed views about it when the news was announced months back. I was wondering if its gonna be bad for the trourism industry and what about the people's right to choose to smoke in a bar, etc..

But now i believe its a good discision. People smoke knowing fully well that smoke causes the most number of smoking induced diseases and disorders which effects not just active but passive smokers too. Why should the city promote smoking by allowing ppl to smoke in public places...not to mention the added cost to heathcare to treat people who are affected by active and passive smoking in public places.

overall... i think its a good thing for torontonians!

wat do u guys think?

16000 people die due to ill effects of smoking every year in Ontario alone.

I think this is the best thing to have happened.

Smoke Free bars are welcome indeed !

I happened to speak to a few of those so called regulars to bars this morning. They say they can bypass the system.

Duniya ki koi bhi takat kash or madira ko alag nahin kar sakte!!:D

Without smoke there is no kick in drink yaar.

Its the best thing that can happen in the Bars since passive smokers are more prone to cancer than actual smokers. Give up on smoking folks... Its now or never.........

Ottawa has smoke free Bars / restaurants since Aug 2001 ! and to be honest; Its the best thing that could happen to ppl in Ottawa. They raised a hue and cry at first but Bars and Rest. are still full on most nights.

Smokers... tum logon ki ^*^*%*%$*$ !!!!

I don't think smoking and drinking are to be done together
