Parents' sponsorship : Indian Pension ?

Hi ,

In case of parents' sponsorship application and getting approved , is there any impact on the pension they receive in India ?

Would they be able to collect it after they have applied for PR & if the PR Application is approved ot would it be denied just because they have applied for PR under family sponsorship category ?

They will still be eligible to receive pension after obtaining PR. You will have to provide a "Life Certificate" every year, that can be obtained from the Indian Consulate, to the pension issuing agency which will prove that they are still alive and eligible to receive benefits. Besides, Indian consulate, "life certificate camps" are held periodically in the GTA to make it easier to obtain these certificates.
