I have completed 3 years of successful staying in canada. I need help how to apply and pay for citizenship online. I shall be leaving for my home country next month. Should I apply before leaving or after coming from my home country. I shall be coming back after 3 months.

How should I prepare for myself and my children for travelling after almost 4 years to home country? what all documents to carry since my husband is not accompanying us. It makes me little nervous to travel alone with 2 small kids.

please help.

You can apply and leave. It takes 5-6 months for them to process the application.

Travel document wise, you will require a letter from your spouse permitting you to leave with kids. Sometimes they ask for that. Many says notorized doc, but we never did that.

Travel with kids can be challenging - all depends on your kids. Going to restroom can become tricky. Also, if one or both kids starting to run around at airports, you won't be able to run behind with all the luggage.

apart from letter from husband

1. write flight details, your name and alternatively your husbands name/phone on a paper card and put into both kids pocket. just in case somehow they move away from you.
2. keep no more than one hand bag as cabin baggage and wear a jogger yourself ;-).
3. Ask elder to take care of younger, make it as his call of duty kind of responsibility.

happy journey.

Carry a bag of small inexpensive new toys and goodies they love.... Chips chocolate etc.... Carry small packs....Don't let the kids see this bag or it's contents....every 1/2 hour... Or as they get bored and uppity.... Draw a toy or goodie which should keep them occupied for short while.... Do not let them choose or show them all toys....for the older kid try and carry something time consuming and contructive... Like paper and color pencils....Lego etc....

Remember to carry fever medicines....

I have travelled so many times with my kids.... Especially when they were young.... A stroller is a mothers best friend if you have young kids.... You can get assistance for lugging your hand luggage from one point to another during transit.... Simply inform them when you check in.... Be extra sweet (and not demanding) to the steward/ess.... They will look after your kids when you need to use the washroom....

Hope that helps.... All the best... Wish u a safe journey...

I Have been to India for almost 3 months and back. Journey in itself was smooth and we enjoyed a lot still we missed canada. Surprisingly this country grows on you and you start loving this country more than your own country for its greenery, peace and less population. The only surprising thing was the immigration official asked me for a letter from father while returning rather than while going which stunned and surprised me.
