Dear Desis
We had landed in Toronto in July 2010. At the time of landing, we got the paperwork done for customs duty exemption, which was to be used at the time of our final move from ME.
Now we have started planning our move and was looking for the same customs duty exemption paper, and to our great horror, could not find the same!!
Need advice from the Desis as to the effect of such loss. We are plannig to move furniture, both used and new, some electronic items, household items and of course lady's best friends.
Do we have to pay duty, if yes, at what rate? Or we still can avail the exemption. We have not been to Canada since our landing, and have not moved any of our personal belongings yet.
Thanks and regards
