Sir
I am an international student in canada studying with a scholarship (which is sufficient for a single person). I am going to get married soon. Can you please advise me the amount of money and assets to be shown in the spouse's name and should I show my scholarship and funding details? Please tell me which application form I have to fill( because there is no seperate spouse visa application in the embassy website), is it the visitor visa form? Should I submit marriage photographs and marriage certificates along with the application? How much time does it take for the visa to be processed?
Thanking you
sincerely
silver
You didn't say anything about your wife. Impossible to give so much advice without any info on your wife.
By the way, this forum is for help and support, not for comprehensive freebies.

Sir
Sorry to bother you with lots of questions. Regarding my wife, she will finish her PhD in August and hopes to find some university research assistant position in Canada if she gets spouse visa which has work permit. My fiancee and I otherwise do not have lots of assets. We are relying on the "minimum requirements" to get a spouse visa.
Thanks
silver
If you ca show an approx. $1200 available to you both per month, it should be enough.

Has your wife applied for the (long-term) visitor visa? Do you know how long it takes after the medical, and more importantly how do they communicate the decision after the medicals to the applicant?
Thanks!
