Mr. Massood,
Would you please be able to tell me, how does the CHC in New Delhi communicate their decision after a medical (for a visitor visa) to the applicant? Is a letter normally sent to the applicant for a passport request, or does the applicant need to present himself/herself to the embassy after 2/3 weeks (average processing time).
There was no information with regards to communication in the medical forms provided.
Thanks so much in advance for your advice.
Wait for CHC. If nothing happens in a couple of weeks, contact them.

I appeared for my medical tests on May 24. The doctor said that I might receive a letter from CIC, New Delhi to submit latest medical test reports for my daughter aged 6 years who had to undergo an operation for correcting urine reflux problem when she was 7 months. After that treatment was on for another 1 year. Since then she has had no health problem.
How seriously this problem can affect my chances for getting Immigration visa? If not a major problem, how soon can I expect visa?
All other documentation including sending original passports (as mentioned in their letter for medical test) is sent from my end.

I wouldn't worry about it if she has been fine after operation. I have clients who successfully immigrated after having heart surgery done.
You are looking at approx. 2-4 months for New Delhi. Sooner will be a bonus.

Hi Rajand,
even we had our medical done on 24th December. My husband underwent thyroid surgery ( he had a cyst on one of the glands so that gland was removed ) last year and thereafter no treatment was required. We had carried all the pre and post surgery reports with us and the DMP took a set of those reports. Also he asked us to courier him latest eye sight reports ( my husband and my 8 yr old daughter both have specs ) so I guess he attached all this with his reports.
I was little anxious about the surgery part but now relieved to read from Mr. Massood's post that people went there even after heart surgery!
I think we should both receive our visa within next 2 months

Hi Anujark
We seem to have a lot in common.
I was working with a software company as a Sales manager, now I am having my own business in software sales & IT-enabled services. My wife is also into computers & she is also into Yoga. She is currently doing a Yoga teachers course. There seems to be a good demand in Canada for Yoga teachers. Let's see.
What are you & your husband into? We are planning to go to Calgary since my close friends are settled there. They say that employment is relatively easy to find, there are major industries also there & cost of living is less compared to Toronto, Vancouver, etc. Ofcourse weather is extreme, during winter it can go down to around -35 degree Centigrade.
