Hi,
Has anyone ever transferred the cellphone plan to someone else over the Internet (Craigslist to be precise)? What are the precautions? Is it safe?
I am talking about the transfer of ownership/responsibility of the cellphone plan.
Thanks
In Singapore, when we did such a transfer, there was a form to be filled with the cellphone provider - transferring the plan from Customer A to Customer B. Then, the contract is transferred for the remainder of the period to the new customer at his address and after they complete paperwork with him. I would think - the same would be for balance car lease transfer or balance fitness club membership transfer.
It should be safe - since the liability is transferred - bonafide and with complete paperwork.
Hope that helps.
I am not sure how you would be able to transfer the plan over the internet, but it is possible when both the parties call up the call centre, the agent should be able to transfer when both parties agree for the same.

Thanks guys, actually I know the process, but was a little cautious about communicating the other person through emails and providing them with my phone number. But, I think that's alright and the only process. As long as I can rid of my darn plan.
