I came across this nice article, very different from other articles from main-stream media, which is very interesting and seems to be showing the ground reality.

Another thing the pundits miss is this: making new allies is the result not of their own biases, but electoral numbers. Everyone, from Chandrababu Naidu to Naveen Patnaik to Mamata Banerjee to Nitish Kumar, has aligned with the BJP when it had the numbers under Vajpayee. They did so even when they knew that LK Advani held the keys to the party and was one of the key players in the Ram Janmabhoomi movement. Nitish Kumar, despite his alleged antipathy to Modi, aligns with another Modi – Sushil Modi – in his home state. He is even said to be very close to Advani, despite the latter’s Babri connection. He surely knows that the BJP partnership has worked and it does not make sense to break it without good reason.

Also read the discussions at the bottom of the page. Many of them are posted by young generation and all of them are supporting Modi.

This one is a highlight

When 2002 happened, I was still a teenager……brought up on still blinded by the Nehru-Gandhi socialism-secularism worship that filled up my text books and much of the environment I (or any kid in India) grew up in. My dad, on the other hand, was a hardcore Modi supporter from the first moment he saw him on tv, being hated openly by one and all. I did not understand my dad’s support for Modi, and I even hated him then, just as I was expected to by the mainstream media and rest of the opinion makers of the country. Then, I grew up. Understood things were not as I was taught they were. I understood how I was being taken for a ride by an establishment class whose sole objective is to keep the dynasty in power. Then I began to appreciate Narendra Modi, the man hated by the people who rule this country. A man seen with murderous intent by the people who hold all the power in our country. Why do they hate him so ? Why this extreme hatred ? If he is so bad and they are so good, how come we are a poor and desperate country, which has completely failed to fulfil its potential, inspite of the fact that “they” have always been in power ? And how come the little state “he” rules does so much better relative to the rest of India ? Who is really “good” and who is really “bad” ?

My father is no more today. But he was probably one of the earliest supporter of Modi. I bet he is smiling in heaven today as every single day, the little known backward caste son of a roadside tea shop owner becomes more and more powerful….more the powers that be try to pull him down, higher he rises……He is an unstoppable force. As he himself said in his speech following his latest election win…… he likes nothing better than when people throw stones at him – because he builds a staircase out of those stones, and rises even higher.

I had a feeling that Its a long way for Modi for PM position because not only Bihari Nitish but mwmbwrs within BJP like Advani, and Sunil Joshi also did not wanted to project him.

But it looks like all equation are changing. Modi has started Delhi level work and seems like everybody in party is supporting him. I personally want to see him as PM.

The only black spots on him are US Visa and Communal riots....Lets hope for the best on him.

At the earlier Goa Conference, after much deliberation, Modi was made the Campaign Chief for 2014 General Elections. That sounded sensible, given Modi's track record of hat-trick wins in Gujarat.

But within a short period, the BJP leaders in a huddle have again proclaimed Modi as the PM candidate. This in spite of opposition from LKA. Looks like all the leaders have become hungry in the BJP since they are out of power for a decade.

Now that they have "appointed" Modi as PM, the egotistic leaders of the BJP are free to start day dream about their individual portfolios, like Sushma about Home, Jaitley on External Affairs, Subramanian Swamy on Defence.

Finally, at the end of the dream, it should not happen like the potter kicking the cermics in the basket. Our prayer not for BJP's sake, but for the larger good of the nation.

Already they have proved in Karnataka that those who shout "Bharath Mata Ki Jai", can be as corrupt, as jealous and as greedy as the ones who shout"Italy Mata Ki Jai".

Like human beings, nations and civilizations have their own life cycles. A human being, when they grow old beyond a certain age, they die of natural causes. Then, there are some human being die of accidents, murder and war. Then there are human beings who die young due to incurable diseases like Cancer, HIV etc. Then there are a few human beings who are born with certain disabilities like autism, low IQ or born with deformities and stunted growth disorder. As I said, the nations and civilizations also go through the similar life cycles though the time span differs. Unfortunately, India at 66 is a body hosting many diseases, some incurable. The symptoms are visible to any practised eye. These symptoms are classic symptoms of a “banana republic”. A vast uneducated electoral, corrupt politicians and Prime Minister, servile bureaucracy, ineffective administration (like police), a compliant as well as corrupt judiciary (Almtash Kabir and GKB – ex CJs of Supreme court), an open loot of public money under garb of welfare schemes, lack of right to property and its peaceful enjoyment, absence of law and order and ultimately lack of financial discipline. India has all these symptoms. To critisize Modi or BJP is not going to help. Modi/BJP or not, the body is dieing. One can debate about the causes and reasons – I hold Kangress responsible for they have been effectively in power all these years – but I grant that others may hold BJP/Modi responsible for all the ills. (All you have to do is to follow English MSM – they , after all hoopla and debate blame Modi ) . The issue is not Modi. In my opinion, gangrene has spread beyond limit and only surgery can save a part of the body and soul. Translation is that India should now disintegrate peacefully. I doubt but that is the only solution. As regards Modi/BJP, let them dream. Rude awakening in May 2014 is not far. According to my doctor, I am not likely to live up to 2020 when I would have retired. My dream was to retire, go to Gujarat and start a peaceful political movement to secede Gujarat from India. My dream would turn in to ashes with my body but still I like to dream! I guess everybody is entitled to their dream Why take offence to Modi/BJP’s dream?

Its good to dream, nothing wrong about it.
But as far as India goes, we are getting close to the time where the rise of India is just around the corner. Its all coinciding with this May 2014election & thereafter.
As always someone takes the initiative to lead, & show all of us, that dreams can be turned into reality. Modi is fitting exactly into that equation. He has rejuvenated the entire Indian population (across the entire country) in the last few days after being declared the PM candidate...
I can witness the true wave of Modi. so much that likes of Rajnikant, are in process of joining BJP. The tide is turning such fast, that even political observers are getting baffled with the momentum. This is exactly the same like 1977, when Jai Prakash Narayan was there, & people disliked Indira Gandhi, due to her atrocities during emergency. People were looking for someone other than Indira Gandhi (for that matter any alternative to India would have won).

Its exactly the same this time. People are fed-up of Sonia Miano, Bianca & Raul. so Modi rise to PM is fitting into the equation absolutely perfectly. Even the unintentional polarisation of votes in communally sensitive areas will also benefit BJP (so much so, that we are expecting a 272+ majority on BJP itself).
Another 8months, the whole world will watch this time...

LOL! As I did say, everybody has right to dream. I was a part of that great “Navnirman” movement in Gujarat, which threw away corrupt Govt. of Chiman Patel. JP took inspiration from that movement and due to his stature it spread throughout India. However, lots of water has flown down the Ganges. The idealism and morality of my generation is no longer there. Modern India is obsessed with obscene money. The only thing that is respected is unbridled power and money (ill gotten or otherwise). I doubt the youth today would be agitated by corruption, price rise or naked play of casteism or religious favors granted. Since 1977, India has seen Mandal, Bombay blast, Babri demolition, Sikh genocide and Godhra. To jog your memory, 3 days after 26/11, Delhi re elected Kangress! The same people of India elected Kangress in Karnataka and Goonda party SP in UP! Well, as I explained that in stunted India’s life cycle, it is reaching at fag end. Only peaceful disintegration of India can save some people else ALL are doomed. One cannot wipe off 1,000 years of slavery. For that, you require cultural renaissance. What India has cultural degradation. Just look up statistics of rapes in India. A culture, which bestows the status of revered Goddess to women, has to learn lessons from supposedly (going by Indian thinking) inferior Western culture! I will end by giving two examples. None of my Canadian friends believe that Indian Prime Minister is the most corrupt guy and that the Supreme Court of India is actively shielding him. As regards voters, I have a relative who is a dumb B.A, M.A with below average grades. She landed a job as Professor just because she can speak good English. When I last visited India, She narrated an incident. She openly encouraged and instigated a Gujarati girl to marry a Gujarati girl to a Muslim guy against wishes of her parents. I asked her the reasons for the girl’s parents not wishing alliance. She said that the parents of the girl were against because the girl had two younger sisters and that such a marriage would jeopardize their marriage prospects and secondly the boy was a auto mechanic in a small garage and was living in a 2 rooms house in a Chawl with Seven member family. I said that “Well, I do find merits in displeasure of the girl’s parent” She erupted and labelled me as racist and bigoted person. Lol! I bet more than half of CD members would do the same after reading this. What you fail to understand and appreciate that world has changed. How do you explain Obama being re-elected and being worshipped in spite of all the scams surrounding him and blatant lies that he tells people with regard to Bengazi and IRS witch hunt? How do you explain that a very large number of people still label MMS as “honest” person? But as I said, everyone is entitled to have their own dreams. I do have my own though I am unlikely to witness dawn of year 2020. I have learned to cheer every one’s dream now that my days are numbered. I do not believe that Modi would ever be able to form Govt. I believe that after May 2014, he would be behind bars on whatever charges Kangress can concoct with corrupted Supreme Court judges. But I do cheer your dream.
Peace.

Our concern, even if only Modi was going to be PM candidate, both he and BJP could have waited till the election dates for 2014 Lok Sabha were announced by the Election Commission. Until then, for all practical purposes he could be Election Campaign Chief only, unless otherwise, the greed for the Chair had got the better of him.

For a senior leader like LKA, this should be going in his mind. For a person of LKA's stature to trivialise that he was out to grab the PM's post himself by preventing Modi from becoming PM does not augur well neither for the BJP nor for the country.

We have strong suspicion that the black money and stash money cartel were working overtime to sideline LKA well before the General Elections. In 2009, LKA did his Rath Yatra regarding Kala Dhan, To match LKA, MMS too had to make a "Bring back Black Money in 100 Days" false promise. This sent the cartel running to Switzerland and other tax haven islands.

If Modi is going to be compromised even before he starts his innings, just the way we now see the new RBI Chief, how then is he going to see a super power India.

The Indian Economy is often likened to a patient in the ICU. The black money and money stashed abroad is like a black mamba lying in bed along with the patient. When that be the case, all the economist pundits coming to TV studios and talking about the economy and about ways and means to revive the same is pure rubbish.
