I'm using Acanac internet from last 5 yrs & nothing bad to say. Amazing speed & no downtime through the 5 years of service....

I was with their DSL first & since last 3 years I moved to cable

the only negative thing I found was the $100 moving fees, but I love the internet & unlimited bandwidth that I actually paid that amount to stick with them !!!

DSL is expensive if you dont have phone line already (need to pay extra for dry loop) where as Cable internet is around 39 or 43 depends on the speed.
Either one, the service is very bad and the price is not that lucrative any more once you renew after first year.
They will charge extra $100 for cable service incase of moving to new location where DSL is free for the first move.

The last but not least is, you have to pay upfront for the entire year.

There is a promotion going with Rogers of $45/month with better service and no contract. which is not available directly thru their customer service i gues.. .but you can check with other agents for this deal..
i believe the promotion expires by August 15th..

Gud luck

Cant sing praises about Acanac customer service.. Only way to contact them is through email. If u dont mind taking a couple of days longer to resolve ur internet issues then acanac is for u.

I have acanac for past year , had a issue once, created ticked with Acanac. Acanac responded by their ticket system to send someone home a day later. Issue was automatically rectified before i got a chance to get the technician appointment. I suspect it was a issue on Rogers end. The big issue is , if a technician comes to ur home and it is ur issue then u could get charged for it. Rogers has similar policy but u can fight and get it reversed , i doubt acanac would do the same as Rogers charges them for it

Most other times i had issues a reboot of my modem and routers resolved it.

Acanac speed is great and u dont have to worry about going over the cap , because their plan is unlimited download.

I renewed yesterday on 6 month term plan @ 45$ because i dont like the idea of 1 year contracts.

Hi RBO,
I had the same issue for the past 6 months and was told that modem is old and cannot be supported with latest technology changes from rogers end.

Plz check your modem serial number in their site for support.

Or
If you are using router, then there might be an issue with IP conflict b/w router n modem.
You can resolve either by setting static IP address or google for proper settings for this issue.

In the end, its better to avoid ACANAC as rogers is offering the same price these days with 300 GB cap for similar price and better customer service compared to ACANAC
