Hello all,
I got my PR in 2009 along with my wife and daughter, but due to family circumstances I did the landing alone and stayed back for 2 years to complete PR retaining requirement before returning back to India.
My question are:
a) Will my PR be renewed? I did the landing alone even though my family never landed.
b) Will I be able to sponsor my wife and daughter? my circumstance has changed, with my mother passing away few months back.

You are a PR in Canada. You completed TWO Full years which will enable you to renew your PR Card, when the time comes. You will have to be here with in Canada to do that. The Expiry of your Card is marked on the card, please check the date.
Your Wife and daughter are both permitted to enter into Canada. But you will have to obtain a FRESH C.O.P.R., it might involve a seperate entry process. Write to them and tell them about it.
Do write to them a letter mentioning this. Also state that they stayed behind in India to help your ailing Mother in her last days of her life. Provide proof of illness with a letter from the Doctor who treated her. Also provide with any 'paper copies' of hospital bills and a Death Certificate along with your request to them. Keep a few extra copies for future use.
(It might involve a second Medical Examination and a PCC for them)
