I applied for sponsoring my parents (who are residing in India) back in January 2010 and have just received (on August 4th 2013)a request for providing additional information and I have been asked to send this additional information and associated artifacts to the Mississuaga Case processing center within 90 days. I was a Permanent Resident when I applied for sponsoring my parents but am a Canadian citizen now.
I need some quick advise in regards to filling up the IMM008 form. Any help appreciated.
- Under Section APPLICATION DETAILS - Q4 (Immigration Office requested for processing this application) – Should I say Mississuaga or Delhi?
- Under Section PERSONAL DETAILS – Q3 (UCI) – Since this application is being filled up by the Principal applicant (my father), would he have a UCI? The instruction manual states that first time applicants will not have an UCI. So should I leave this blank because my father does not have a UCI or should I input my Client Identification ID here?
- Under Section NATIONAL IDENTITY DOCUMENT – Q1 – Should I leave this section blank as India does not have a National Identification document or should I input PAN card information for my father?
- Under Section EDUCATION/OCCUPATIONAL DETAIL – Q4 (Intended Occupation) – What does this mean? Should I fill this up for my father with a occupation close to what he did before retiring OR can I leave this blank?
Hope my questions are clear enough.
Thanks,
Rahul
- Under Section APPLICATION DETAILS - Q4 (Immigration Office requested for processing this application) – Should I say Mississuaga or Delhi? -> It should be New Delhi.
- Keep it blank.
- Under Section NATIONAL IDENTITY DOCUMENT – Q1 – Should I leave this section blank as India does not have a National Identification document or should I input PAN card information for my father? -> if your father have Aadhar number, enter it here otherwise leave it blank and select No in Q1.
- Under Section EDUCATION/OCCUPATIONAL DETAIL – Q4 (Intended Occupation) – What does this mean? Should I fill this up for my father with a occupation close to what he did before retiring OR can I leave this blank? -> If your father is under 65, you may enter any suitable intended occupation otherwise just enter Retired.

Thanks Delhite for the super quick response. Really appreciate it.
In regards to Section EDUCATION/OCCUPATIONAL DETAIL – Q4 (Intended Occupation), since both my parents are below 65, guess I have to put a possible job similar to what he/she used to do. Am I correct?
I don't think it will make much difference but better to enter a similar job.
