hi everyone,

i know this is a little last minute but can anyone please tell me if there is any temple in missisauga where my husband and i can do a small pooja or ceremony for karva chauth tomorrow?

hmm...lot of such hindu rituals/traditions should be abandoned but then who am I to preach a preacher.
I guess nowadays no one is forcing anyone to keep the vrat. If a lady wants to carry on, taunting and telling woman what to do and what not is indeed anti-woman..

Since when fasting is 'anti woman' .. SO far I knew that occasional fasting is good for health . If a festival forces to do it than so be it ..
Anyways we enjoy all the small and big festivals very religiously and whole heartedly as I see it as one of the best ways for our kids to learn about our culture and religion .
Many of us regret some how if they could not pass on to these values .

I can already feel a festive fragrance in and around my home and am happy .

Karva Chauth is a hindu festival and a part of that festival is where married women pray for the health and longevity of their husbands.

There is nothing wrong in that if someone wants to pray or choose not to pray
