The article is little long but as always ,it is awesome.

Both Sant and Nightmare inputs were very informative.

Reading this and other inputs we can easily arrive at the following.

1. That what the USA says that it had informed our GOI is lie and obfuscation, as if we were negligent. The diplomat and the embassy were in touch with the NYPD and other authorities from day one. If USA was not happy with the diplomat, they could have asked her to leave. Why then they have to wait from June till December, only to arrest and humiliate her?

2. That the maid was not very keen on "fair wages". She and her lawyer were negotiating for a normal visa and monetary compensation.
Does it not amount to blackmail? If she was bothered about the poor wages, she should have asked to be sent back to India.

3. Regarding the low wages, was the maid not staying with the diplomat family in the same house getting food and medical coverage. Does it not take care of 7.75$ base?

Even at 3.31$ and Rs.30,000 p.m., it is a good salary for any housemaid in India.

If USA is bothered about poor wages, it should have started with their own diplomats who work in other countries. Times Now says these diplomats pay less than One Dollar.

4. We cannot agree more on the UPA and GoI's campaign against Modi. They are reaping the seeds of their action.

Does Hillary Clinton write to foreign governments not to grant visa to Obama, just because he was threatening her Presidential nomination? Or Obama doing the same against Romney?
With the UPA, not neck deep but nose deep in corruption, but throwing mud on Modi, the foreign governments have no regard for both the ruling and opposition.

5. The US of A prides itself on the rule of law. It does not mean there need not be rule by men. Look at the words, phrases and sentences ever since the episode came out. They speak about "close and mutually respectful ties", "broad and deep friendship", "close and vital relationship", etc. etc. Just like other departments, they must be having a separate words and phrases department, just to pull out the right ones to suit a particular event.

Very obvious they don't mean a thing and nothing comes from their heart.

Just as somebody had rightly said, we have nothing in common except for the supply of expertise and opening up our country for marketing their products. Better to understand this reality.

Our desi politicos are ready to BEND over backwards to please their GORA sahab for their own interests ( Keeping prestige of the Nation on sidelines )

there are many cases in the past where CONGRESS Govt of INDIA has behaved as ENEMY of INDIA like :

1) treating ITALIANS as if they are some kind of royalty in kiling of INDIAN fishermen and then letting them go
2) QUATTROCHI case is a well known case of ROYAL treatment
3) some US spies were given a safe passage few years back by our CONGRESS Govt
4) behaviour with CHINA when they came more than 20 km inside INDIAN territory
5) response to pakistan after they took INDIAN soldiers head as trophy and so many more over the years

Sangeeta who left her job with the Indian diplomat in June, could not have got her husband and children's US visas stamped without the help of the US authorities

On July 8, Sangeeta with her lawyer in tow, met Devyani and asked for $10,000 dollars and a normal Indian passport as the price to drop charges against Devyani. Sangeeta knew she was illegal in the US.

Is the prosecutor an India-born, Preet Bhrara? He could not take on the Russian diplomats and thier wives who are involved in the Medicap scam. Now he is jumping on an Indian.

There are also questions about how Philip Richard and the two children obtained passports, which were issued to them on September 17 despite all the legal issues. An enquiry is understood to have been launched in this regard.

The Indian government suspects that the US Embassy had ignored its warning and facilitated their travel to New York. The reasons for suspecting the US connivance are that Sangeeta’s father-in-law is believed to be working in the Embassy in New Delhi. Also Sangeeta’s mother-in-law is also known to the US Embassy officials here as she had worked with a senior US diplomat. Indian officials believe that Philip, a driver with Mozambique Embassy here, was given visa to travel to the US easily and quickly, cutting short the otherwise elaborate visa issue procedure

A few months ago there was this boat heavily loaded with weapons which can kill 100s if not 1000s, was observed roaming around Tuticorin, Koodankulam and Nagercoil seas within our territory. The captain and a few other sailors were US nationals. The captain had bought fuel illegally from fishermen and also lied that he had to come close to the shores to avoid the cyclone, even though he had been around the places for more than 4 weeks.

Apart from the Koodankulam agitation sponsored by NGOs (i.e., forces inimical to India becoming a strong, self-reliant and developed nation), there is this richest but the least well-guarded treasure trove of the world at Thiruvananthapuram. Were the crew, actually part of the pirates group which had set on eyes on the treasure? Or is it another case like the Purulia Arms Drop sponsored by the Sr.Bush Administration in the early 90s?

We can say this much that a senior US Department official had specially flown to India, requesting the GoI to close the case and release the US sailors, otherwise it may lead to "strained relations". But Chief Minister Jayalalitha, being a tough person did not do so of the sailors handed over to the TN Police. She ordered her own investigation and judicial custody of the sailors including the US nationals.

It is possible the entire drama is created by the US Admin to secure the release of their personnel. Or have they already left considering the silence in the MSM in the recent days?

FIR against 35 on board US ship detained off Tamil Nadu coast
Express news service Posted online: Tue Oct 15 2013, 01:32 hrs
New Delhi : The Centre has sought a report on an armed US-registered ship that was detained by the Coast Guard off the Tamil Nadu coast two days ago. The move comes amid reports that MV Seaman Guard Ohio was not being used for nefarious activities, but was supplying arms to private agencies that have been engaged by shipping companies to piracy in international waters.
Thirty-five persons — including former Indian Navy and Army personnel — on board the ship have been detained and the Tamil Nadu Marine Police has an FIR registered against them for illegally carrying arms and ammunition. Security forces had seized 31 assault rifles and over 5,000 rounds of ammunition from the ship, which was detained 47 miles from Tuticorin.
Deputy National Security Adviser Nehchal Sandhu played down reports that it was being used to drop weapons in Indian territory. “You have had piracy earlier in the Strait of Malacca and now in the Gulf. People who provide such security need a floating armoury. My suspicion is that the boat in Tuticorin is a floating armoury for a private security agency.”
Personnel told security forces that it was being used for providing security to vessels operating through the piracy-ridden Gulf of Aden.

This was the latest available from Zee News as of Dec 19.

Although the captain and others may not be US citizens, the ship is USA company owned and there were as many 6 Britons, who are their twin brothers as far as any international issue is concerned.

It was also wrong to say that the ship was occupied forcibly by Indian authorities. They were roaming in Indian waters off Tamil Nadu coast for more than 3 or 4 weeks. Since they were acting clandestinely they did not enter any of the ports nearby. They also illegally bought fuel from fishermen, some of them tipped off the authorities. As usual, Indian authorities were lax initially, but only later interrogated and arrested them.

May be Devyani issue may be used as leverage for releasing the sailors or mercenaries, whoever they may be and also the USA ship.

Bail pleas of all the crew members of US ship dismissed by Madras HC
Last Updated: Thursday, December 19, 2013, 00:50

Madurai: The Madras High Court bench here on Wednesday dismissed bail petitions of all the crew members of a US ship, arrested on charges of illegally carrying weapons on board the vessel and straying into Indian waters, stating the probe was in the initial stage and if they were released on bail, it could affect the investigation.

Justice M Sathyanarayanan said the petitioners did not provide sufficient documents to justify that they could be released on bail.

The 35 crew members of the ship MV Seeman Ohio were arrested on October 18 by Tamil Nadu police after it was intercepted by Coast Guard. They were booked under Arms Act and Essential Commodities Act.

The ship crew was also accused of illegal purchase of diesel from local agents.

The Judge, however, granted conditional bail to V Selvam, who was arrested along with five others for illegally providing 1500 litres of diesel to the ship.

The judge directed him to provide two personal sureties for Rs 10000 each and sign before the Q-branch police daily until further orders.

But the anticipatory bail plea of Munithevan, who was also accused in the supply of diesel, was denied by the judge.

The captain of the ship, Dudinik Valentyn, nine other crew members and 25 guards of the ship in their bail plea alleged that the vessel was "asked to come to the port for taking shelter to escape from the cyclonic weather conditions in the Bay of Bengal. On reaching the port, as many 25 officials from eight different agencies barged into the anti-piracy vessel and confined all the 35 crew and falsely claimed as if they intercepted the vessel on October 12."

The counsel for the crew contended that based on the Doctrine of Innocent Passage as envisaged in Section 3 of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea-1982, no charge could be levelled against the crew.

Twenty two foreign nationals among the crew are lodged in the Chennai Puzhal Central prison while another from UK and 12 Indians are in the Palayalamkottai Central Prison in Tirunelveli.

BSP supremo Mayavati is trying to give a Dalit spin to this incident. She told that GOI is not taking necessary action to support the diplomat because she is a Dalit. How stupid political leaders do we have in India.
