Hi,

Looking for some suggestions on weekend skiing packages near Toronto. We have been to the Chicopee resort in Kitchener.

Thanks.

If you are travelling only for 1 day, the trip costs can be divided into 2 :

1. Lift pass (day or night, all day or hourly).
2. Equipment rental costs.

Check with Costco for some deals. For example I found the following for Horse Shoe Valley in Barrie :

http://www.costco.ca/Horseshoe-Ski-Resort-Full-day-Lift-Ticket---Ski-Alpine.product.10331556.html

Lift Pass Adult : $41.99 vs $53.00 (at resort)
Lift Pass Child : $31.99 vs $43.00 (at resort)

There are other offers as well at Costco - please review :

For adults it is cheaper to buy the equipment and use them every year (if you enjoy SKIING and/or snowboarding). For kids it is better to rent since their size will change every year.

Enjoi.

I haven't been to Horse Shoe Valley. Also, I am just 45~50 minutes drive from Barrie, I would prefer to return home.

Since I don't ski myself, these trips are usually for the kids entertainment - we usually spend about 4-5 hours and return exhausted. :)
