Hi..

I am working with an insurance company in india and enjoying the privatisation phase.

I saw various requirements in jobsites while searching job opportunities in canada, RIBO, CIP etc... I would be seriously thinking of adding few crucial certificates like this, which can help me to be at par with the insurance job requirements.

Can any one help me further on this?

Rgds,

VJ

JWALANT,

YES YOU SHOULD GO FOR RIBO LICENSING AFTER LANDING IN CANADA BUT FOR THAT YOU WILL HAVE TO CONTACT SOME OF THE INSURANCE SELLERS/AGENTS WHO CAN GUIDE YOU PREPARE FOR THIS CERTIFICATION.....

RIBO- Regional Insurance board of Ontario (I guess)

You can also become CIP ( Certified Insurance professional)

you can find out details from website also if required.

First of all thanks a lot for your help.

I was recently going through a job opening advt and found the following lines,

"your Life License, Accident & Sickness License, Mutual Fund License, and Branch Manager's Mutual Fund Licenses will be required within the first 6 months"..

Can you clarify, whether these licences are pre-recruitment requirements or they are post-recruitment qualifications to acquire?

REgards,

yes they are pre re-cruitment requirements.

You will have to get these licenses from Canada.

Of course they sometimes ask to clear all exams withing 6 months if they are shortage of certain exp. people.

DEar All,

I went through the RIBo and CIP details, but found that they are more to deal with the general insurance field. I am interested to add something special for life insurance market.

Can anyone help me in knowing this?
