Though I did not read it anywhere but it is really not possible in a year..

LLQP AND Life lic. is already defined ...
Info about ifse.ca is also good in the sense that it is simpler..
there are companies where u can start the work before taking life course and exam.

We have big Cos like Clarice which has high startup cost like car .. mobile.. laptop ( required for electronic application , which is must in clarica) . this results in higher policy rates .
Of course it also means higher commissions. large premium policies are only promoted . term ins. is considered something wrong...
Wehave people ready to take your hard earned money and bind u in a long term contract

it is generally 12 times monthly premium. here premium is generally paid on monthly basis.
re sponsoring... once u show ur resume to cos. they get interested and help u in passing exam and then sponsor . infact in exam application also they sponsor ... some pay the exam fee themselves.
One request from my side .. do not rip off others to make your home

Hi VJ (on which music channel?),

There seems to be a very good market in Canada for insurance. & you can be self-employed. No need to look around for odd jobs.

So come at the earliest to Canada.

Rgds.

Hi VJ:
U have lots of info on life insurance. All I can add is that it is a competitive field. But overall it is better than selling general. Although general is a must have for anyone owning a car or home, ask any desi...just how expensive it is. So it takes years to build up a book of business. For life...to start in sales (I assume).....you can join Clarica or Manulife or a life broker. Clarica is an expensive proposition upfront. Your best bet may be to work for a broker (established one with an office....not someone working out of their home). If you choose, you can have many other careers in life insurance too....accounting, underwritng, claims, admin, etc. These companies are always hiring and if prepared to start at a junior level...u can go up quickly. Trick is junior start. Most people think sales because the successful ones earns lots...but bhai...that is hard work and comes after sweat and tears. U have options....talk when u get here.

Dear Zen guy,

Thanks a lot for your inputs. I would surely be in touch with you, if I decide to settle in Canada in future. The current plan is to come only for PR and that too in next year APRIL.

Regards,

VJ
