Study EI guidelines.
EI rules states that a lady can take leave before 7 weeks before delivery date (tentative. Check current timelines). So let your wife be here till that and then she can go to India.
For Maternity, your wife does not need to fill weekly timesheets but she will have to call EI office and inform of the decision to leave canada.
Your baby is cdn. citizen where ever the baby is born (provided one of you is cdn. citizen).
You may not qualify for CCTB/UCCB/HST credits till the child comes back to Canada,

Hope this helps.

Please read through this...

If you want to know, both the Husband and the Wife can avail the benefits. You can take upto 18 weeks each or there abouts., but you will have to be in Canada to receive these benefits. You might already know this.

You can always apply for a visa to get some one who can come down and help. They should be owning a good property/ies and should have strong links to India and have a return ticket and good health and health coverage also. A try will be well worth your efforts.

I checked EI guideline book and it says that if you are on EI for maternal/paternal benefits then you can leave the country, but if your are on EI for sickness then you cannot leave the country

My wife is working part time at retail store, so not a great job to worry about loosing but she is working for 18 months , so eligible for all mat benefits

For us delivery in India is lot more convenient option as we have no one to bring to Canada

So wanna know if she can go to India when like 6 months due and stay there for a year and I will be here to take care of filling online forms etc

But i am not able to find authentic info in this case

Please bear in mind the health concerns when traveling by air in an advanced pregnancy. Some Airline may reserve the travel .

To the OP,
If I am not mistaken, your wife can leave work 7 weeks before the expected date of delivery. If you have a doctor's note, then you can leave even before. Ask your family doctor to give your wife a note asking her to leave to India 10 or 12 weeks before delivery date.
My experience with Desi friends in Toronto is that if you have a family in India who can take care of your's wife's delivery, then India is the best place to be. Hospital charges are cheap, you can get admitted whenever you want to and not like in Toronto where they need the female to be atleast 10 cm dilated before admission etc...
