Hi Rimmigration wonder you have any update regarding your request to CIC for second opportunity to take the citizenship test as I too missed the test scheduled on Feb 2014 as I was travelling. I called CIC call center and informed them and they asked me to fax my request to the CIC office near my home address and also mailed the letter to them which I did but I don't have any of the valid excuses mentioned in the CIC website. I would appreciate if you can share what is the status of your request.

thanks

Hi PikkuPerunat,
If u informed cic to reschedule the test before the scheduled test date, then ur safe. But if u missed to attend the test just like me then its a tricky situation. I moved from Toronto to Windsor and I missed to update cic and got the redirected mail late. I emailed them after the test date and mailed them the letter last week. I could see from the postal tracking system that the mail is delivered last week, but when I called the call center this week they told me they haven't received any such letter. I was told to wait and call next week since sometimes it takes time to update in the system. I am trying hard to see if anyone is successful in rescheduling lately. Please keep in touch and let me know if u get any update and I will do the same

Hi Rimmigration,
Thanks for your prompt reply, yes I too missed to attend and checked online after the test date had passed as I was travelling. As Cic started processing my application on July 2013, I din't expect to be scheduled for citizenship test so soon cause the processing time shows 24 months. Where did you email and mail your request? I was asked by the Call centre to send to the CIC office near my home address. I don't have any acceptable excuses as given in CIC Operational Bulletin 476-B – August 07, 2013.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/bulletins/2013/ob476B.asp

hoping for the best will update any outcome of my request for rescheduling the test date.

Hi PikkuPerunat, I emailed to question@cic.gc.ca which is a general email I found on cic website. I got response to my email, and the agent told me to post a written letter to Citizenship and Immigration Canada,
25 St.Clair Avenue East, Suite 200
Toronto, ON M4T 1M2. My file is still in Toronto even though I moved to Windsor, so I send my letter to St Clair address.
I am worried too, since I don't have acceptable excuses mentioned in bulletin 476-B. Lets hope cic will consider our requests and give us 2nd opportunity.
BEST LUCK TO U TOO :)

Hi PikkuPerunat,
Is ur file in St clair office, Toronto too. If yes... can u forward the fax # to me. I called up cic yesterday, the agent told me that cic didn't get my letter which was mailed on March3rd... but I told her that it was registered post and shows the signatory too. She told me if that's the case then its possible that cic didn't update it yet. I 'm worried and would like to know is there any other way to contact cic. The agent didn't give me any fax number but please forward me if you have one for st clair.

thanks in advance
