My mother is filing her first income tax return and while calculating her return in the tax software it is found that the summary page she is eligible for GST and Ontario trillium benefits and some credits are shown she will receive in installments but I have following questions:
1. Is it enough just to say yes to claim GST credit as I don't find any form to fill in for that. Is there any form to fill in to claim such benefits?
2. I don't see any detail of how much trillium benefits she will get. Is there any separate form for fill in to claim such benefits?
GST will be credited to her bank account. This will be the same account that her tax credits will also be credited. You have the option of taking a prinited copy of the tax return and send it with a void cheque.
I am guessing that Trillium benefits (that is medical) might be the same for everyone, once eligible.
Seniors can shed more light.
