Hello,

Here is my situation. I applied for Canada PR and I got the PR in June 2012. I did my landing on May 23rd,2012.and I lived 35 days in Toronto. I received my PR card with an expiry date of May 18th, 2017.

Now based on the above information can you please answer following questions.

1)If I will move to Canada on May/June 2015 or 2016 will there be any issue from an immigration officer asking me or quizzing me ?

2)If I move with my kids to Toronto on May 2015/2016,and My husband living in the Middle East ,would it create any problem for us or my husband if we apply for renewal of PR Cards?(If we go to Canada being a PR,with in 5 years means if one year would be left in expiring PR Cards then?)

3)What is the maximum time limit for staying outside Canada safely, in order not to lose my PR Status?

4)As New Citizenship Rules have been out so would that apply on us?or from which date it would be in effect?

What should I suppose to do to maintain resident ship status of Canada while living in Middle East for next 1-2 years?

Really appreciate your expert opinions and many thanks for that!

1) You should be here with your children by the 23rd May or 1st of june 2015. After that you get into the soup kettle. (save the initial 35 days as reserve) You can enter proudly and say that you have returned back to Canada to stay here for GOOD. No one will trouble you.

2) If you are not in by that date in 2015, you or your husband cannot renew the PR cards easily. You might have problems if you enter after that date. So, avoid the issues that might come into play. That will be a wise decision. Your husband will be left out of the renewal, if he does not join you when you get in during the year 2015 and look for employment or stay and work here in Canada, after that date and qualify with 730 days of stay within Canada that you will be required to show at the time of renewal.

3) 26th of june 2015 will be the date that you are looking at to avoid all of the questioning that you want to avoid. That will provide you a safe 730 days that you will require. BUT, you cannot leave Canada even for one day and you cannot cross the borders and into USA or St.Pierre- Miquelon. That is to avoid all of the problems associted with the renewal process. {And you can leave after you receive your cards once more for another THREE years,after the renewal and receipt of the cards.}

4) The new Citizenship rules will apply for everyone, that includes you also and if you want to become a Canadian Citizen, then, prepare to stay here for GOOD from the next date of entry. Their website will permit you to test the dates at a later date to see if you need to fill in FOUR Years or just the THREE, at that time. Just to inform you, the first 36 days that you stayed here will be out of the picture when you start the calculations.

I can only assure you that you will not have any problems for ONE Year. {because for you and your children, in the year 2015 june, the Moon gets into the Seventh House and the Jupiter aligns with Mars and it will be the Dawning of the age of Aquarius for you and your Family and so come and join us here in 2015 and we will provide you with a very hot summer where you can fry your eggs on the side walk, just like they do in the middle east.}

No problems, and hope you enjoyed the last quip.

FH.
