My daughter get canadian passport this week,
she is studying in UK, she came here for oath and to get Canadian passport,
she is going back to UK next month.
When she came here on indian passport with PR card, and Arrival stamp on indian passport.
she will be here for two month.
what is the procedure to get dual citizenship?? or any other procedure.
because she is visiting India on December form UK,
as she has canadian passport ,i think she need indian visa to go to india.
she is on student visa in UK, can she apply from UK??
Does she has to show both the passport,at pearson airport, while going back to UK??
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Your daughter was an Indian Citizen, prior to acquiring Canadian Citizenship. So, the Indian Govrnment will ask that she surrender her Indian Passport and obtain a Surrender Certificate. There is a slight cost associated with it, besides all of the inconveniences.

With this certificate and an application and the required fees she can obtain a Visa to enter INDIA as a Visitor. Alternately can obtain a PIO card or an OCI passport from the Indian Government with a lot of pain associated with it and the expenses that go with it. STILL will not bestow upon her a dual citizenship.

United Kingdom might also ask that she use the Canadian Passport now and extend her stay there as a student. Cost associated with it may be minimal. (Hang onto the Indian Passport with the required entries.)

As regards the Dual Citizenship with UK, they do permit you to have their Citizenship too. Required stay and the fees associated with the same has to be researched to get the details. My feeling is that she will have to have a stay of FIVE years prior to application.
