Hello,
If someone could please help me with the question below. Under new canadian immigration law,
1) Is it okay for Canadian citizen to live in US with a spouse who's on H1-B visa there and has a Canadian PR?
2) Old law allowed Canadian PR Candidate to live outside Canada with Canadian citizen spouse and PR could get extended as long as both live together. Anyone knows if any change to this law?

You seem to know a good amount of immigration matters. So, let me start out by saying that, if you stay here within Canada, from the date of landing, for a period of TWO FULL YEARS, then you can renew your PR during the first five years. It also holds good for the second FIVE. (all of this is for your PR wife who is there with you in the USA)
Some laws have not changed. One such law or the rule is, that your PR wife can re-enter Canada together with you, whenever you come back into Canada. She might need a re-entry permit, please check that out. That travel document costs, currently about 50 buckaroos. (This is if she has TWO YEARS of stay within Canada, after the first five years.) If she has no stay at all, then, she enters into Canada as your spouse, who was once a PR of Canada and now rides on your coat tails. Fess might still apply at the border or at the embassy when you approach them. Anticipate a lot of delays, if you do not have all of the Paper Work, sufficient to let her in.

Thanks for the response but I think, I didn't explain myself better.
My wife is a Canadian citizen. I'm living with her in US and I just received a PR of Canada. We'd like to stay here couple of years at least and just wondering if I won't loose PR.
