Hi All CD members,

I hope every one would agree that we have a wonderful site here where in members have helped each other by suggestions and guidance to not only to potential immigrants to Canada but to those who are already here in Canada.

However, it seems that most of the times when members ask questions, they are in such a hurry that they do not even see whether they are posting their question in the relevant thread or not. Or if the same question has been asked a number of times earlier and have all the answers in related thread. Not only this causes unnecessary duplicacy but sometimes their questions remain unanswered as specialists and other members do not expect that question to be in an unrelated thread.

Garvo has posted the DOs and DONTs of asking the question on the new topic page which I am posting once again here as under:
______________________________________________________________________________________________
Please read this if you are asking a question:

1) Before you post, please search the forum for existing information on the same topic. Most questions about immigration, PR card, about Canada, education, work etc. have been asked and answered before. To search please click here.

2) If you DO find a post that has exactly the same information you want, hooray!! Congratulate yourself!

3) If you DO find a post that is on the same line, however you need further information, please post a question in the SAME post. This will ensure continuity and make it easier for the next guy searching it.

4) If you DO NOT find any information related to what you're looking for, feel free to post a new question in the appropriate section. However, please build your question systematically and give details relevant to the questions. This will help the person answering your question and you will get a much better answer.

5) Subject line should be well suggestive of your post/question. Please avoid using \\\"hello\\\", \\\"please help\\\", \\\"help\\\", \\\"question\\\", \\\"please reply\\\" kind of titles. We will be deleting such posts.

______________________________________________________________________________________________

Hence I would once again request every member to please think and search before posting repetitive questions as it will save every bodys time and the costly 'band width' being used by ever increasing number of posts.

One more thing I would like to request every one to please, please update your current locations as it would help the member in giving you correct reply as the specialist or the member would take into consideration of your location and would guide you accordingly.

I hope if we all follow these guidelines it would make browsing and searching the site much more enjoyable and beneficial to every one.

Thanks and regards,

Chopraji,

Your mesage is very relevant and carries lot of weight.

Infact at present Canadian Desi does have plenty of info on almost all the major issues.

The need of the hour is to search for the same while submission and avoid unnecessary duplicacy of posts.

Since last few weeks there has been a sincere effort by Garvo/BL and all concerned CDs to bring in discipline amongst the members.

Isn't it time for all of us to be sincere and allow this forum/site to handle other meaningful issues ?

And yeah all CDs must provide their exact locations so as to ensure that they are receiving appropriate suggestions/replies.

Bye.
