hello all,
I applied for my parents sponsorship in late 2010 (so about 4 years now).
2 weeks ago I received letter from CIC Mississauga asking me to submit all the forms as per the checklist including the sponsorship agreement, financial evaluation, Option C printout etc.
Basically everything that I had submitted with the original application all over again - except the fees.
I don't know what to do. I spent a lot of time and effort preparing all this back then. why do they want all this again?
please, those that have applied for parents sponsorship can you please advise whether this is normal?
thank you all.
It is normal. Its means that your file is ready to go from Mississauga office to your back home CHC office for processing.

It seems it is normal. They also asked me twice, once I submitted in 2006 Aug and again upon their request I requested all the documents in June 2011 along with my medical and police clearance, and they issued the visa in November 2011 from Abu Dbabi. I am a sponsored parent.
So, please go ahead and submit all the documents they requested and good luck!!

CIC wants to make sure that after the waiting period, you still meets the sponsoring criteria, by getting a fresh set of documents and forms.
It should change and have already changed. Now, CIC only accepts 5K applications at the beginning, which they can process in a year.

thanks everyone.
this is a lot of work. the forms require the signature of the primary parent so I have to courier the documents to India and they have to sign and send it back.
oh dear.
one more question - the letter said I should go ahead and pay the permanent landing fee along with these documents even though they have not processed the application.
should I do that? does it speed up the process if I go ahead and pay in advance?
thank you.
