Pakistan’s obsession with Kashmir is more a case of mental illness.
Couldn't have said it better myself.

Pak doesn’t seem to realize that their staring-in-the-air rant on “Core Issue of Kashmir” is becoming more of a comedy these days.
A laughable exercise indeed. Even UN is fed up with them and shown them the door.
Prashant Bhushan, Kejri's God father wants to allow Kashmir to be separated.
Yes, that's my solution as well. Call me what you may - but Kashmir is better off separated. However, the real problem here is 'Pakistan'. Hence, in order to tame this devil, India needs to keep the hand on Kashmir forever.
This dispute will never be resolved, EVER. Mark my words. At least not in my lifetime. To resolve this, all parties need to have an out of the box solution. That too, is asking way too much from our esteemed politicians.
Would you like to retract?
No, absolutely not!
Fortunately, I am not a politician.
Read my whole post, if you please will. All your answers are in there.
Kashmir is following sufi and shia islam, diamterically opposite to the wahabi sunni islam of pakistan. The Pak Occupied Kashmir is living in stone age, hardly any economic development and their Kashmiris under terror of the Punjabi sunni muslim Pak army. If India's Kashmir is given to Pakistan, Kashmiris will simply become canon fodder for the Pak military. Pak wants only Kashmir and not Kashmiris.
The truth is China and Pakistan are destroying the Himalayas by their belligerent approach in claiming territories which are not their own. Fifty years from now the problem will become one of ecology.
China has two disciples who will run to its beck and call. One is North Korea and the other is Pakistan. Both these disciples are notorious for threatening their neighbours with their nuclear toys and specially Pakistan for creating and nurturing terrorism.
If the United Nations of the world have the courage to stare this triumvirate rogue nations in their face and ask them to stop their nuclear blackmail, we may have peace not only for Kashmir, also for the entire planet.
Until then, India threatened by a theocratic Pakistan and a dictatorial communist China has no option but to guard its borders.

NM - It has been pointed out to you repeatedly that you need to tone down your name-calling and rhetoric while you're making your point. You may think that this "tough" language makes you seem badass, but in fact, it comes across as amateurish and juvenile, diluting any valid points you may be making.
What will it take for you to get your point across without the name calling?
Kashmir is definitely better off with India than Pakistan or being independent.
If Pakis were not sending and training terrorist over there, they would live peacefully with India.
They are not suffering because of the Indian security forces , but due to the climate of terrorism created by the Pakis. If the Pakis were not there , the security forces wouldn't be required and Kashmir would be just like any other normal Indian state.
Muslims live in harmony in other Indian states , they would do the same in Kashmir if not for the Paki meddling.
In fact Hindu Pandits have suffered more in Kashmir than anyone else, no one talks about that.
