From a professional point of view (I am an Architect), I was refused visa to Libya and Iraq due to Canadian passport. Gulf people donot prefer to hire Canadian passport holders out of India. I was recruited to Indian by Desi Americans who had opened up a Architectire company in India and were recruiting only American Desi's or Canadian Desi's.
However, I got into a personal problem (no fault of mine) and because I hold a Canadian passport I have been able to convince them that even if they report me to Indian police, my Canadian passport will help me. That has helped me to stay away from the false case that the Indians were about to put on me.
I for one, will never return to Canada. I have never seen such a useless country such as Canada where there are no jobs available and where I had to dip into my savings to survive. For non IT people, Canada is a nightmare. Max. that you can start with this $ 15 and goes upto $ 20 after 4 or 5 years. Or you work as a labourer and get money through IT. No place to earn For the 9 years that I was there, I could visit India only once and my parents visited me 2 times (my brother in USA sponsered the flight/visa charges).
One major disadvantage is that I am not able to put Right To Information in India. I am not allowed.
You may ask me why I am not changing my citizenship. Basically it is lethargy and the personal problem that I ran into.
