Hi Friends,
My mother , Indian citizen, visiting canada (visitors visa, 10 yr validity, NOT SUPER), holding US (visitors visa), on landing in Toronto, after staying for 5 /6 months , visits US, stays there for 1 month, and returns back, can she enter canada? for another stretch of 5-6 months?
Alternatively , after her 4 months stay in canada, I apply for her extension for another 6 months, she can visit US in between the stay?
Any personal experience, please share your views.

Further to my querry posted earlier, her visiting US , and returning back after a month is it treated as fresh entry in canada with a new 6 month stay permit stamped on her passport?
Please correct me if I am wrong.

I missed reading your post. Your second posting under the first one carried it away into the answered stream. (To the right hand side.) So, I let it ride till now.
SORRY ABOUT IT.
What the IO at the POE does is provides your Mother with a SIX Months stay here in Canada at the time of entry, as she has a 10 Yr. Multiple Entry Visa.
Now while she is enjoying her stay in Canada and makes a visit to USA and returns back during the six months stay, they let her back in as her visa validity is still good.
For some reason visiting United States does not seem to bother them. So, she is back in here into Canada, as if nothing happened.
Now when the first six months are about to be completed, you can renew the stay for another like period of SIX (MORE) Months, but you must do it 30 DAYS Before the expiry of the first issue. In short you have to be on the ball for this. You cannot come back from the USA just before its expiry. You have to be here after 4 months and 29 days and apply upon arrival. ( Also you have to be here with in Canada to do that.) It becomes easy for them and you, because you are asking for an extension of the visa.
I HOPE YOU GOT THE DRIFT.

Just to clarify, "She can do this over and over again.", I can keep on applying for her extensions every 5th month, for how long? would'nt at 1 point they refuse , in that event has she to return back to India? for some time and return after a gap of couple of months?
Or she can simply stay away in US for some time and return

The choice of her staying in Canada with you, rests with her. Also you are her support. Some people do get home sick and return, because they miss their familiar surroundings and the normal life that they were used to and most of all their friends and siblings. So, let it go till your Mother decides what it is that she wants to do. She can always return back to Canada, as long as the visa period is open.
Yes and she can keep on doing the same till they refuse. The right to refuse rests with the Officer who is handling the file at that time. She can return whenever she wants to during the TEN year period. The return could be after TWO Months. (Book in advance to take advantage of the cheap fares.) Currently the January 2015 seats are under 900 bucks. That is for the return ticket.
