I work in India. No one cares about work in India. No one monitors your work here (same as for IT people in Canada), There is lot of money here (economy is booming) and attrition rates are very high. So I am able to contribute.
My main goal is to see that every immigrants gets all the benefits that is available in Canada. All that I am writing is based on what I learnt after 4-6 years and I use it to help people who may not get a good job, not get a good income etc..

Noted that the carts in pearson are free now. May be this can be done in other airports where cart return get you money (say Vancouver, Calgary, MOntreal etc..)

Bring $10000 + 2000 for every dependent which means :-
sponsors $10000
wife 2000
3 children 6000
which is $18000 and come prepared for 5-6 months to settle down in a proper job.
Initial 6 months, u wont get any help frm anybody...3 months wil go in completing all formalities and recivng SIN, HEALTH CARD ETC.
U wil get admission in one day and same day schooling for ur children....best part of canada.
Be cool and spend wherever it is neccessary for 5-6 months. Ur children wil not get any benefits till u file returns which is after January and Govt start depositing in ur account frm July onwards if am not mistaken.
FYI... nobody wil trust u with their children and u should not trust ur children with anybody here.
Don't come here thinking anything is free here... If u wanna be happy in canada thn u need 3500-4000 pm.
Pray to God... u and ur family be safe and never fall down on ice and get hurt so the question of suing anybody doesnt arise.

Now with regards to the jobs in ur own field. i.e mechanical engg...
get the licence in ur field of job asap. If u get licence in ur field as a mechanical engg...thn get in touch with us.... we may be able to help u with job. If you are diplomaholder then u wil get technician licence and if u get Industrial techncian licence or engg licence then, you have good chance of earning $20-25 per hour.
