My email (SMTP) is configured on outlook using our office exchange using our own domain. The issue does not arise when emailing from my desktop at office.
The problem started appearing since last update from KitKat (about 1 week ago) and continues with Lollipop version as well. Since the last update and the new version, Android is using GMAIL to access emails from all accounts.
Emails to all other receivers have no problem.
This morning I tried a test email to my hotmail account as well as my gmail account at the same time. The email was received in my hotmail account, but not in my gmail account, at the same time I did not receive any bounced email as well...
Please advice ASAP.
Hiren
Hello Hiren,
I do not have such high end gadgets on me to do the test or an exploration. But, there is always a BUTT...
That message is telling you that an email that you've sent was not deliverable, which you already know. Usually this happens because you typed and invalid email address to send it to. In this case it is NOT. It could also be due to an anomaly, that you've probably got a virus or spam that is automatically sending and receiving emails on your behalf and causing this to happen. If so you'll need to do a full system scan and clean it out. Best of luck to you. Since it is in the server and a routing problem, they will not admit to it and will call it a VIRUS or a BUG and get away with it.
Some times it could be the receiving server. In this case ROGERS!!

Please contact their technical department and seek help. They might have fixed it by the time you read this. fh
Thanks FH,
You are always the first one to offer help and your suggestions are all valid.
1. The problem is while emailing from phone. There are no virus/spamming emailer robots that I know of.
2. The problem is only when emailing to gmail account, not all receivers. It seems like a gmail specific issue.
3. It has started appearing only since the latest gmail update.
4. Further research on the error code and description suggests that gmail is treating my IP as an originator of spam and that is the reason it is blocking.
5. I also figure (from online forum posts) that there is a certain code in new gmail update regarding compatibility between IPv4 and IPv6 standards - but dont know how to set them on my phone.
6. I have experience with ROGERS technical support from past and not so impressed, specifically in this case the phone is with FIDO and the email receiver is in China.
Still stumped.
Hiren
Hi,
Did you try sending an email from your phone to this email address when your were connected to wifi network? In this test turn off your Fido data and use wifi network to send this email. Let me know the result.
