The 2 crucial plays I am talking about ..which went India's way. Very lucky .

33.2

Mashrafe Mortaza to Raina, no run, gets far too across as Mashrafe goes up straightaway for the appeal. The umpire doesn't appear interested though, with Raina running the leg bye, but Mashrafe is adamant he has got his man. Time for a review. No bat involved when this struck the pad. Ball tracking shows this one pitching outside of leg, but only just. Looks like just over half the ball had strayed that margin. Close shout from Bangladesh. Really was so close there. Almost 51% there

39.4 over

Rubel Hossain to RG Sharma, (no ball) 1 run, dishes a waist-height full toss which is clubbed away instinctively towards deep midwicket, with the fielder in the deep coming forward to claim the catch. There is an initial stirring from the Bangladeshi fans when they see it is Rohit who was dismissed, but, lo and behold, Rubel has been called for a no-ball. This one due to being over the waist. Replays show, however, that the call would have been marginal. The umpire's call though, was a lot more decisive. Big, big break there for India.

Whatever man! At the end, what matters is 'Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar'. Bangladesh has gone into oblivion and that's the reality. Everything else doesn't matter at all.

I enjoyed the match, and so did my 3 years old. Even though, he only watched it a bit, followed by his usual sleep :).

1.Raina was PLUMB lbw , wasn't given out . DRS saved him BIG time ! Proves that DRS/Technology can be horribly wrong in LBW decisions. It wrongly showed slightly pitching outside the leg, by a fraction

That would have changed the course of the match as the pressure had already bulit up at that stage. A loss of wicket at that stage, especially of RAINA, who had just started accelerating, would have meant a NEW batsman at the crease & a TIRED/WORN out Rohit Sharma at the other end.

2. Rohit Sharma was caught of a FULL TOSS. The ball was way BELOW the waist. He was crouching, when he hit the shot, and even in that crouching position, you could clearly see that the ball was way below the waist . So if he was standing upright, it was even LESS below the wait. But it was given a NO ball as a ABOVE waist full toss .
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If the above 2 decisions had gone BANGLADESH's way at very cruculal stages of the game, India would have folded for around 250 ..

Wrong analysis , Sire.
In both the cases , umpires on ground gave decisions instantly ( not out and no ball) prior to the camera reviews. So its not DRS which saved Raina, he was actually not out as seen by naked eyes of umpire. Same was the case of No ball to Rohit , Aleem Dar signed no ball immediately and it was above waist when ball came in contact with bat. ( I agree it would dipped below waist by the time it would have crossed the body but rules comes to play )

Iffing and butting for this match is relevant only if Bangladesh would have lost by 10 runs.

If the DRS had been accurate, he would have been out when Bangladesh went for a review. DRS is not accurate when it comes to LBW's
The ball was clearly pitched in line & was hitting the middle/leg stump right in the centre !

Sharma was in a very crouched position when he hit the ball & from both angles in the replay you can see him hitting it well below the waist. Aleem Dar messed up big time.

Just because both decisions favour India, doesn't mean they were right.

India would have still won the match, irrespective of these non-dismissals. 100 plus margin was rather big. Worst case, Bgdesh's chase would have been cut by 50 runs. Still would have not made a huge difference. Their batting sucks big time.

Besides, Jadeja was scoring well. Also, Dhoni did not face too many balls as he came towards the end of the innings and had no choice but to take chances by swinging his bat. Who knows, they might have posted a higher total for India. But overall, I found Indian batsmen rather uppish so far in this tournament.
