Good
Now for real dual citizenship for NRI's.
Not this OCI which is just a multi entry life time visa to India, with the word Citizenship in it , just to fool people.
Fair enough. Will OCIs get Indian passport and govt jobs, buy agri land and contest elections?

If you have dual citizenship , you won't need all this NRE, NRO accounts. You can have a regular resident bank accounts.
Lot of things can be done on OCI, but usually they are more compliacted than if you are an Indian citizen..not saying you can't do it..but there are more charges & steps involved for buying a flat , stocks , PAN card , Aadhaar card, taxation, repatriation of funds, capital gains. Fees for tourist attraction etc.
Sometimes I even see domestic air fares & domestic railway tkts have diff rates ..not always but sometimes for foreigners ! I was trying to book a domestic Jet Airways flight within India from here in CAD $ & with CAD credit card & it was almost double of what my friends in India were getting for the exact same flight if they booked with their Indian CC. So they were charging OCI's & PIO's a diff. higher fare as they think we are cash cows to be looted.
So the reality on the ground is often different for OCI & Indian residents. Dual citizenship will make all these transactions more smoother.
I definitely see that you show a CAD PP anywhere in India their automatic mentality is to loot you, the same doesn't happen when an Indian PP is shown.
