Where will Immigration & Customs happen - Ahmadabad or Bombay?

I talked to the agent again and she told me that as per Jet airways informed her that Immigration and custom will be done at Bombay and afterwards they consider domestic flight for passengers....
Luggage has no issue because of international connecting flight from Toronto to Ahmedabad...

Although I have not travelled to Ahemdabad, as I am from Bombay, (by Jet Airways ) however each time I've visited India, there are lots of passengers going to Ahemdabad, & Baroda, they have to collect their luggage at Mumbai, do the customs, & imm. and then check in for the domestic flight, and as Blue Lobster has guided .

Immigration was done at Mumbai.
Luggage received at Bombay and check-in again for domestic flight to Ahmedabad.
Lots for security measurement has been added in Immigration process. My son was travelling with my parents and at Mumbai immigration point they asked couple of questions and asked to fill up different kind of form (for my son only) that full address that where he is going to stay and how long, etcc... (because he is holding Canadian passport and OCI).

Yes - since your son is Canadian , his formalities and queue would have been different - I recall when we had gone in 2011 and our daughter was the only Canadian then , they permitted us to enter the foreign passport holder's line despite us being Indians at that time .
Did they ask anything at Canadian Emigration like a parents' letter or something , assuming your son was not traveling with his parents. ?

No, at Canadian Immigration they did not asked "child alone travel letter" but Counter Officer asked my son where he is going and who is travelling with him?
one thing I noticed is here at Pearson airport they allow people to go all the way to counter where they are doing weight check, tickets, etc...at least easy for us...
at Mumbai, immigration officer asked to fill up different form only.
