Immigrants generally when they FIRST come to Canada arrive in Toronto, Vancouver , Montreal, Ottawa,Calgary, Edmonton & Winnipeg.

Desi immigrants generallly prefer GTA or GVR for their FIRST landing in Canada :

1. GTA - Greater Toronto Area - Comprising of the Metro city of Toronto, and nearby suburbs like Brampton, Mississauga, Vaughan , Ajax, Pickering, Markham, Oakville, Richmond Hill etc.

2. GVR - Greater Vancouver Area - Comprising of the Metro city of Vancouver, and nearby suburbs & urban areas like
Surrey , Delta , Richmond, Victoria, Burnaby, Langley, Coquitlam,Pitt Meadows, Maple Ridge, even Abbotsford


This is usually the first landing for desis, later on depending on the job situation, family situation etc , they might or might not move to other cities & Metropolitan areas or even some remote areas in the North.

Might move to Other Cities like Calgary , Edmonton , Ottawa, Montreal , Winnipeg , Regina , Saskatoon, London, Kitchner, Waterloo, Guelph etc ..later on.
