stop paying them salary if thy go on strike. No work, no salary. let's see who pay their regular bills and how long they go on strike?

partial salary ---- pay partial salary.

No EQAO test : They have hit at right time coz EQAO test is very important. Govt should depute supply teacher or ask principal to conduct this test.

These fools have a very good salary , benefits , pensions , vacations etc on Tax payer's dime..can't imagine how greedy they are. Most people would work for half of what they get !

How is it this time? Are the teacher's paid.
Canada follows a good pattern. If their demands are too much, they will let them strike. May be for 10 days or 20 days and their salaries will be but. These salaries will then be used to fund the increase in salary for a few years and the cycle happens again.

This happened in the garbage strike of 2002. Of course they had to pay for some overtime to clear the garbage but it was said that the salary gain for the Govt. paid for the increase.

Ask all teachers to go and replace each teacher with 2-4 new teachers. I think it's high time these 55+ teachers are given voluntary retirement. There is generation gap and Govt is spending too much in training them to teach new young generations.

They can visit the Library and gain knowledge. They can form group study with friends. They can do extra curricular activities like camping etc.. which they could not do due to study commitments.

If possible, they can do some part time jobs / temp. jobs to earn moolah (like security for Pan Am games etc...)

Teach children of all ages to hv 2-3 hobbies like reading, gardening, basketball, football etc. These hobbies wil help them throughout their life. Make thm independent and self sufficient. Ask thm to mke their own food and teach thm cooking since our country demands it. Let thm work in garden and lawn and backyard. There are so much work to do so balance between work and hobbies. Let thm learn to clean up whole house and washroom. We never had such issues coz we had so much to do at homefront + reading + gardening. :)
