how soon can one get apartment in vancouver? do they have a lengthy process or you can get approved and move as soon as you find a suitable place....

i need temp acco until i find and decide on an apartment

since you are in burnaby ..can you tell me more about the place... you have been there long? like it? ... i am thinking burnaby or west vancouver area...though it will be only after i come there and see for myself...and also dont know when or how i will land a job... but would like to know more...

btw... is there an apartment guide or such that is available there...like how it is here in the usa in the grocery stores? if it is .. let me know please

You will find a lot of magazines like Renters magazine at bus stops, grocery stores etc. These carry advertisements based on different area.
You might want to check the classifieds for sharing acco, or basement renting types for a short duration.
