This may be short notice, but for whatever it's worth...
This Friday, July 17, 2015, Ontario Parks is waiving day-use fees* and giving the province a prescription to get outside. Many parks will host special events and activities including:
• a guided hike at Charleston Lake
• learning to canoe at Quetico
• learning to fish at Earl Rowe
• yoga on the beach at Rondeau
If you live in the GTA and don’t have access to a vehicle, that’s no problem! Ontario Parks has partnered with Parkbus to run a free shuttle service on July 17, 2015 from downtown Toronto to Bronte Creek Provincial Park in Oakville throughout the day.
Reserve your free bus ticket now. https://parkbus.ca/bronteshuttle
*Charges for facilities not normally included with regular day-use fees still apply at all parks on July 17, 2015. These facilities include swimming pools, picnic shelters and equipment rentals.
