We are not taking this threat seriously, but still are pursuing people to people contact, cricket and hockey diplomacy. we already have lost all but traces of our civilization in India before 1000 A.D. But are still following waiting at the gate policy. History may repeat itself.

No We don't need fully Pakistan - we have already more than 20% minority , trust me you don't want to add more ( unless you want to live under Sharia Law )
The best option is :
- make strong tie with neighbours ( nepal, bangla, afghan, myanmar , burma, sri lanka- working good)
- isolate PAK in international community (foreign policy so far working good)
- support their separatist movement and break them in parts then indirectly control them( especially baloch) - We don't need to hit them hard otherwise we risk nuclear - trust me we don't need this.
Yes we like to be proud ourself and show our power - but sometime its good to be patience and smart
we always use one joke which apply to us right now (its about Rajputs falls pride) - We all know the strength and pride Rajputs carry - they were strong at one point but because of their stupidity british ruled us for many years
- Rajputs pride were so high that they were ready to die for silly things ( example: Brits came with guns and rajput ran openly toward them with their swords not knowing that brits don't needs balls they just need to pull the trigger - that is stupidity - while Sivaji was very smart - he used tactics to beat brits....

On the contrary besides the Sikhs , Rajputs were the only community able to with stand the invaders for a long time and give them a hard time .
The same thing could be said by any and every war soldier who dies .
Funny thing how people who have done little can joke on people who have laid down / sacrificed their lives.
BTW by the time Britishers came India was already under centuries of Mughal rule ... not sure where you got the Rajputs with their swords and Brits with their guns analogy from ??

Yes Rajaputana was strong , they were warriors but history shows that they were so egoistic or too much into pride that they lost many battles
