I am not looking into retail or franchise type of business. Not looking for lot of money either, just $ 2,000 per month (Net)-profit can be enough to. So business could be $ 5,000 or $ 10,000 or anything Gross a month, provided I make $ 2,000 profit at the end of it.

It will be mostly a 1 man or at the most 2 man type of business or self employment. Can't afford to pay anyone else at this stage. These 2 people (including myself) will work for free, except for our time involvement. What business will do well in Canada ? Don't mind investing upto $ 100,000 of my own money ( mostly savings )

Hopefully its a home based business, which I can run from my basement or some Internet type of business, to reduce overheads or rental charges. Could be some small office or unit also, in a plaza.

Is there some small logistics, distribution, warehousing or service type of business, I can run ? Honestly don't really have any skills as such, but I am a graduate and well educated, and articulate and I pick up things fast, mostly technical and analytical things. Never really worked in my field, besides doing some odd jobs here and there, hence no work experience in my field.

Any suggestions or thoughts on this ?

I am leaning towards some parts distribution or logistics or warehousing type of businesses. Open to other ideas too.

No interest in running some gas station, grocery store, restaurant, rental income (condos), fast food , motel, repairman, fixing technician type of income. Don't have the personality for that.

2 of us (including myself) can easily work 60-70 hrs Each per week Full Time on it. The profit will be split equally between us. The other guy is a mirror image of me, and extremely honest and trustworthy. He won't need any payment up front. So whatever we make at the end of the month from our so called home based or internet based venture will be split equally among us.

Anyone here has some Home based or entrepreneur type of business ? Would love their input.
Or any Indo-Canadian venture ? Don't really trust the corrupt people in India, so hard to find honest, reliable and trustworthy people in India to do business or outsourcing type o work with.

Maybe TK can chime in on this. He is an expert on these matters.

Nope. Not an expert. May be Dimple 2001 is one such person. Ping him or let us wait for him.

My limited knowledge only suggests Food, Food, Food. Canadians are crazy about food.

Of course, people with highly placed connections can suggest some cutting edge business trades (apart from drugs) that can net a high profit.

Education and visa help is one such field.

Find a hobby/interest, and turn it into cash. Market research is the key here. In addition, make use of Amazon, eBay Stores to sell your products or create a good website with the online payment system/provider (i.e. Paypal) embedded into it.

Minimum investment and of-course ensures work from home. The idea has to be good.

There are many products that you could import from India and sell it to the North American market. What products? That's the part of the market/product research.

Remember and focus on 5 Ps: Product, Place, Pricing, Promotion, Profit.

Opening an adult store may be costlier but selling adult entertainment toys online can be a cheaper & great money making business in Canada....

check online reviews if its worth & something you may like or not.

You just can't compete here. Physical stores are no longer a commodity as they used to be; and due to the proliferation of online marketplace that ensures anonymity. It's actually still frowned upon here in Western Countries, despite of the openness, many just can't gather courage to step into the store for the adult stuff. For them, online offers the anonymity. However, Internet is full of them and cheaper at it too.

Chinese stores have already excelled this. Check out 'AliExpress'.

So, a bad business, given the thriving competition.

Having said that, even if somehow someone manages to do it and makes profit from the online store, the margins are darn high.
