Hello members, I am planning to arrange a lunch or dinner for around 15 adults in or around Mississauga or Brampton area. Any suggestions for reasonable and good desi restaurant. Should I go for buffet? I know Brar and Tandoori flames are decent. Any other options? How about Sanjeev Kapoor Khana Khazana?
Please suggest some cost effective and decent options
Thanks

Sanjeev Kapoor's Khana Khajana ... Haven't found any online good reviews about them .
India's Taste @ 900 Ray Lawson has a separate party room which should be able to accommodate the number you have mentioned .
BTW , their food is awesome too ...

I recommend Buffet is better.
If you are looking for better quality, You Could try Avani and The Flavours as well..
Buffet or executive lunch would suit you best for these many peoples.
Prices are as below
Avani - Exec lunch 14$
Flavours 13$..
Avani - Private party - 22-30$/plate..
I think your guests would be happier if you invited them to the buffet .
India's Taste buffet is $15/- ... we generally have a thali @ $8/- which not only fills us up , but guards us against over eating as well .
You can speak to the Management in advance for the price and discounts . listing how many kids you have as well ..

Fido.
We (group of 15) recently visited the Tandoori Flame restaurant for a Diwali lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Made reservations about 10 days in advance.
Upon a arrival the hostess took us to our table which was set in the extreme far corner of the restaurant against 2 windows without blinds or curtains and with afternoon sun right in the eyes while being seated. The restaurant almost 80% empty, we requested to be seated somewhere else or arrange for some blinds/shade - she flatly refused to make alternate arrangements, unless we agree to break the group. Even then she could sit us on table of 6 each leaving 3 people on a separate table on their own. Then she left without making any arrangements. With the help of the server, we managed on our own to set one table of 8 and another of 7 so at least everyone will have some company.
2 from our group had nut allergies - so I again approached the hostess to let us know what options they have from the buffet - she stated they do not take any responsibilities for the allergies and you eat at your own risk. This is contrary to our experience at Brar's the previous year where the server made arrangements with the chef to prepare some items for the select few and also pointing them to a few other items which were safe for the allergic.
I am 100% veg, so dont prefer restaurants that server non-veg anyways - we tried this as an experience for the guests who are not vegetarians. While the food taste was good, we left with an unsavory taste and hopefully will never go back. Despite being a buffet we had a few who visited another place shortly afterwards to fill up.
Just sharing my experience, other's might have a different one.
