Thanks Murali..This is indeed valuable..600 Greenfield Avenue -GreshamPlace..looked a very good place.But your suggestion was ineed helpful.Now I will have a look in Belmont Avenue West.There are 3 buildings 545,546 and 547 over there.Will have a look in next week and finalise there.Even one school called Westmount is pretty good over there.

As TamilKuravan said, any area in Waterloo is good especially Laurelwood, Clair Hills, EastBridge. Kitchener is good in some pockets and some are commercial/industrial focussed. As your need is to be closer to workplace choose one of the options you thought of. The GreshamPlace or Belmont. In a year of so you can choose to move to a place where your child can go to highschool

For now settle where it is convenient and later you can move. Kitchener has lot of indians ( so does waterloo) and there are a number of Indian grocery stores and temples. You will be fine in Kitchener.

Suggestions by you all is definitely leading to clear conclusion.
I am deciding to be in Belmont for an year.Based on that will judge accordingly.

This is just a suggestion and it is valid only if it suits your plans.

There are two Schools near and about the place of work, just a walking distance from your work. They are also on the major Bus routes. But the area where the schools are located is old and the rentals are far a few. So, a scrutiny will be well worth your trouble. Also, since you say you want to finalize your rental, I am sure you are close by and you will be checking up all of the requirements associated with the Apartment rental project.

Most of these places they might rent with your first and the last month payment and without a lease. Please check with the rental agency.

Just in the passing I noted that there are a lot of Guptas, Kumars, Nairs and a couple of Naidoos thrown in the mele and I also noted a Murali who was a pirate with an "I" missing. (EYE missing! just a joke.) Also there are TWO Shetty's No 'Z' and my whole clan is living there 47 of them.
