Hi
I have a Canadian work permit and I am in the process of applying for PR. But there was a mistake in my work permit and I couldnt correct it. marital status is single instead of divorcee. I submitted my PR application (with correct information and documents) and got an ITA but later realized about my mistake and withdrew my PR application. I want to submit an application asap but I am not sure if that will be taken as misinformation.
Please let me know can I submit all correct information and documents or will there by any explanation required?

You should have contacted us here OR got the advice from a Lawyer before the withdrawal of the application.

Your current status IS SINGLE. So, where is it asking you if you are Married or Divorced? Please give us the application form number.

Even then a Lawyer could have helped you to get that point settled without any hassles. Well, now you go and see the IRCC/CIC people and find out what it is that you can do OR go to a lawyer close by here. If you need any help please drop me a PM.

You can still salvage the situation. Good Luck.

FH.

Something is not correct here .

Are you not single when you are not married even when divorced. Is divorcee a separate status than single ? To me you are either single or married.

Why withdraw an application in stead of getting it corrected...

Now you may have to go through the whole process again.

You hit the nail on its head. He should know better before he applies for Express entry and pays the fees. He has the ITA. An Invitation To Apply. So, he is O.K too. That Officer knows that he was married too. They have it in their files when they do their own investigation.

BUTT and this one is with two 'T's It will kick him in the butt if he has NO FINAL PAPERS in his hand and he is miles away from the scenery. Helpless and drifting like the kite in flight. Could have got it straightened out with all of the papers through a lawyer.

I guessed it as much.

FH.

A few in here. One of them might be a legal beagle. Best thing to do is call. TGIF.
