I am 31 years holding Indian passport and my wife 27 as well having Indian passport.
We currently live and work in Dubai.
We both have tourist visa for 3 years which give us 6 months stay at one time.
My wife is 10 weeks (3month) pregnant. We are planning to enter Canada when she is doing her 5th month so this way we have to spend only last 4 months of her pregnancy in Canada.

How much will a normal delivery cost in Brampton or Mississauga or any other desi area?
Where can we have a economical stay for 5 - 6 months in some desi area?
Will my child get the Canadian passport with no issues?
and how much time is would take for his canadian passport to be given in hand?


I already have one boy who is 16 months old. This is our 2nd child.
Like every parent in the world i want to give my child better prospects in his life.
We have lived our whole life in Dubai and as disheartening it is we are still not a citizen here cuz the government does give so.

Kindly advise the best and way to go about it.

It is a very good plan (may be ) but you have to have a crystal ball to predict it will be a normal delivery. Pregnant ladies need regular checkup that will cost you. You already have a very young kid who need regular attention. Without going in much details I can give you a ball park figure

6 Months stay - Roughly 15 - 20 K
If you decide ( and we suggest you must ) to stay with her during this period you will have loss of salary - Fill the amount

Normal delivery - Anywhere close to 10 K ( my best guess )

Little complication : It costed us close to 70 K in 2003 but thank God things worked out in out favour right in time and we didn't pay a dime.

Welcome to Canada.

You can take the flight to Canada at the last minute. Say if the limit for travel is the 30th week, you can book ticket at the 28th week or so.

You need to pay for hospital only till the delivery of the child. After delivery, the child becomes a Canadian citizen and all fees for the child alone, after delivery, if free.

Then you can get the Canadian citizenship for the child alone and passport and leave.

Hello, I am answering the other points for you.

Mississauga is the best place for you to live as there are so many desi's there and you will feel at home.

Room with toilet will cost you $ 400 a month. One bed basement apartment $ 800 a month. One bed apartment will cost you $ 1100 a month. A one bed condominum will cost ou $ 1400 a month.

Besides this you can visit the food bank which will give many provisions to you free. Though these are for immigrants, you can say about your condition and how you have come to exploit Canada, and they will give you free stuff. Especially they are very much helpful to people who come to Canada.

You have to visit walk in clinics and it may cost you around $ 60 per consultation. Medicine cost is extra. Medicine is costly here. There are some social organizations that will help you.

Generally, Canadian passport takes 10 business days or less to come. You baby paper work will take 20 days. So in a month you can get it.

Once the pain comes, you call an ambulance. They will not admit you unless you give them your health card or show money. Social organizations can help you, if you are unable ti provide any money. Or they will treat you for free and then bill the cost to you and ask you to repay it. However, they will not be able to call the Police for this. You can choose not to pay and fly outside of Canada and on one can touch you. Canadian tax payers will pay the bill.
