And the media agenda is innocent in this flavor?
Not withstanding only the negativity of Gau rakshaks you have come to know, what is the logic behind standing up for illegal slaughter houses? Gau rakshaks have saved and maintained thousands of cows from illegal slaughter, smuggling and in the process at least a few hundred have been murdered. Did the media ever report any of these? What part did the media report about the non violent representations, court battles and risky vigilance these Gau rakshaks have done in the past 2 decades? Only the stray ones where one of them is involved in a violent scuffle or an unpleasant activity have they been highlighted in the media.
So yes media deserves to be whipped for it's ugly role.
BTW, welcome back

My reference was not your stand, it was the media which is highlights only part of the story without revealing the complete story. Ofcourse, all they intend to do is to build an opinion with distorted and incomplete information - and deserve to be whipped.
On a personal level, I don't support ANY animal slaughter - irrespective of its legality. However, as a society we have to respect others personal choices and freedom as granted by the Constitution. If there is a law passed by the government, it needs to be implemented honestly and in full. Besides the moral and legal issues, illegal slaughter has health and hygiene issue as well.
Lets not make it personal.

As a true secular, I demand ban on Pig slaughter too. Modi should be prosecuted before International court of justice for slaughtering piglets Rahul, Akhilesh, Mayawati and Kejriwal. I sent a letter to my favorite NYT. Hope they publish it
