Hi,
Does anyone know if there is a good homemade veg tiffin service in surrey. Looking for homemade nutritious veg food that can be delivered not a restaurant or caterer

This is a restaurant and it is for a try once in a way. If you like them, then, patronize.
IDLI BATTER IN VANCOUVER..: " We always go to a few Indian Restaurants. One of them is called Mayuri in Surrey and we did find good Dosas there. And on a few occasions we did ask them if they can provide us with just the batter for us to make our own Dosas at home as they have all of the equipment to mass produce the same. They were very obliging and did give us a liter or two and we did tip them generously for that. Now a days we call them in advance and also patronize them while we are there. EXPENSIVE though, is enjoyable once in a way.

Surrey is like the Brampton of BC.
You will get lot of Sikh's & other Punjabis over there. Their ladies are mostly uneducated house wives from villages in Punjab. So they like to cook & clean. So they will be more than happy to give you some tiffin services & make some money on the side.
But they can cook only Punjabi food like Chole, Bhature, Naan, Tandoori roti, butter chicken, lassi, parantha, samosa, dal makhani, paneer dishes, Pakoda, Kadhi,Rajmaa, Sarson ka Saag , Makke ki Roti etc.
Most of this food is greasy, oily & unhealthy except for lassi. As they put lot of oil & ghee on/in most dishes. All their curries taste the same & you will get bored of this crap in a week.
They cannot cook any other food like Dosas, Idlis, Vada, Gujarati food, Rajashthani food.
Their husbands will be happy too as some financial pressure will be taken of them. Their husbands mostly drive cabs or do other physical labour jobs in factories & warehouses.
It is slowly picking up there in Surrey. Also there are a few already doing it. But to get to know how many more, you will have to ask and get to know from the locals there. Some of the restaurants also might do the same. They will charge you a lot more. But there is a choice and on a few occasions you can surely use their Tiffin Services, if push comes to a shove.
