Hello all, I have completed my Master degree in Commerce and currently working as a Professor in Bengaluru (3 years of teaching experience). I want to see my chances in Canada. What procedures I have to follow? a consultant based in Bengaluru is asking for 2L Rs for express entry. I am bit confused please help.:)

Apply on your own.

Going through the consultant doesn't increase or decrease your chances of express entry to Canada.

They just act as a courier or as a postman between you & the Canadian embassy/consulate.

Just another layer of red tape & bureaucracy that's all. Lot of times your documents & paper work just gets stuck with these immigration agents and consultnts :(

If you know how to read & write & fill up application forms you might as well apply on your own & save 2 L Rs.

BTW working as a professor in a Canadian university or college based on foreign experience is going to be very very hard. If you have a good salary in Bangalore then stay there, don't bother coming here.

Or try your luck over here for 1 year or so and then go back to India, if you are really that curious to come here. Sometimes seeing is believing.

Treat it as a holiday and see Canada and maybe even US and then go go back.

Since you are the one that is required to do all of the needful and qualify to get in, most of it has to be accomplished by you and I am sure you can complete all of it yourself and save yourself the expenses.

Language proficiency is called for and you must pass an exam through IELTS and when you are ready, you can fill out the application form. When they find that you are a suitable candidate, which you will be, you pay the Immigration processing fees and get in. Medical examination will also be a mandatory requirement from the Canadian Government.

All of the expenses that you will incur plus an airline ticket will not come up to a figure of 2 Lacs. So, be guided by this.

FH.

Why? is it so difficult to manage there?
