Folks, what is the easiest and most cost effective way transfer a large sum of money form India to Canada. The transfer will be from a non-resident Account (NRO) in India to my account here with a big 5 bank.

I would say any of the international remittance companies should be good, as long as the source of the income is legal. You can check with your bank as well as quite often they have a preferred way to get it transferred.
